I find I want to hold myself as chaste
so I won’t find that it has been a waste
to explore “what can be” for us. Who knew
monogamy would be my goal with you?
I find I do not even want to touch
myself, or share my favors quite as much
as I have found I needed in the past,
‘cause I’d much rather have a thing that lasts.
Perhaps it’s just a touch from you I long
for. Yes, that’s it. And yet I must be strong,
as I don’t know if you will want to be
beside my side or share a life with me.
How will it all play out? I’ll have to wait
to find out if you’ll want to be my mate.
