Bumble bee
spinning
crazily
hovering
insanely
charging at the world
unafraid
of enemies much bigger
than yourself
you fly
so quickly
speeding
small dervish
of wonder
mighty
in your own eyes
caring not
how others view
your small stature
unperturbed...
undisturbed...
you zig
and zag
first here - -
- - then there!
never-ending
incessantly
in motion
unpredictable
miracle
of nature
no pattern to your travels -
no reason to your rhyme
only searching for
that perfect nectar
that will satisfy
your craving
take what you want
go where you will
They haven’t told you
you can’t fly
and so you do
tiny buzzing
bright stripes
of yellow-black
you hover
looking me over
I gaze back
and think - -
perhaps mankind could learn
something from you
bumble bee.
