The Creature of Dawn's Blood

This creature lurks in the night like no other
it has a howl and a look that makes others shutter.

A creature like no other that seeks for blood
it makes the victims lose drops like a flash flood.

This creature that looks for revenge without cause
It does not stir, stall,or stay so he can make a sudden pause.
Hesitation is not in its nature
something that is a feared feature.

You look at this creature once and you may want to run
It gets hurt by the sun.

So do not go hunting for it during the night
that is the time of day it will come out to fight.

It enjoys the sounds and cries of its prey
It does these acts of murder every single day.
Accused of being an animal only pushes it more.
There is only a few pieces left of the shattered door.

The door that would open up to reveal that he is innocent
That the stories told about it make it seem so violent.

It is known by many names, but it is just misunderstood
no one can understand what it could.

Understanding misery and suffering, its acts are of a broken heart,
'cause someone or something ripped its soul apart
Now it is known as "The Creature of Dawn's Blood".

Author notes

The last stanza should tell you what this poem is about. How with the most heart-breaking moment you can turn the best of a good person and turn them into something dark and evil.

The shattered door was a great metaphor. I loved the overall innocence of the poem itself, and anticipating the title into it successfully is a bonus! I hope you continue to write, well done, good luck!
