Nervous expectation
of days still yet to come
Will I be able to stand
or will I merely run?
Knowing that the past
will meet me face to face,
I cautiously await
my destiny's embrace.
The past has no more power,
only chaos in my mind.
I'm putting ghosts to rest
and letting go this time.
I'm carving out a path
that I believe is new;
Hoping that the outcome
is the one that I now view.
Some may think me strange
and a little overdone;
But I'm for taking chances
and I'm not the only one.

Rhyme and flow are wonderful and spot on. Personal Independence is a wonderful thing. Chances can bring many wonderful things. It's always best to put the negative stuff to rest and move on. Wonderfully written poem. Lovely!

Excellent poems
She truly is a women who does explore her ideas and try's to take better path's in life...but from my experience first hand, when she takes these journeys as a "free spirit" she never takes into account the other persons feelings destroying everything they are. She is a dark angel with the disguise of a beautiful creature in her words and appearances. But be ware of her poisonous fangs, they will destroy anyone with a good heart. But hopefully she changes like all things in life -
