Q and A (not a poem)

1. What do others find Attractive about you?
I'm told my dark brown eyes and lashes that don't need mascara make me seem more approachable; the fact that they're guarded and hiding secrets just makes people all the more curious.

2. What do you find Attractive about yourself?
As a girl with an eating disorder that's a hard one to answer. I do love my hair, naturally dark auburn; it shimmers like a penny in the light but looks brown when the lights are low.

3. How do you deal with Stress?
I make myself active. As long as I'm doing something productive, I needn't focus on my life.

4. What do you Believe you can Achieve?
I can achieve recovery, healthy eating, and self-love. I WILL beat my disease.

5. What is your Best Asset?
I'm a determined dreamer.

6. If a Stranger approached you-
  Asked for a minute of your time...
  How would you respond?
"I've got a few minutes to spare. What can I do for you?"

7. If a young child approached you-
  Asked for a minute of your time...
  How would you respond?
"Sure thing. What's up?"

8. How would you describe to a child
  Why you make mistakes...
"Nobody's perfect, and these are my mistakes. You'll have your own someday, though I hope you'll learn from others and make a few of your own rather than repeating someone else's."

9. How would you describe-show
  the meaning of Love
  to a person who is blind and deaf?
I'd embrace them in a tight hug and rest my forehead on theirs.

10. How do you demonstrate Compassion?
I'll always lend an ear or a helping hand; I'll express the way I sympathise or empathise.

11. What do you find Beautiful about Life?
It's always growing and changing; nothing's ever quite the same. And everything rights itself in time.

12. What do you find Beautiful
      that you have not seen-experienced?
(Cliche alert) I think that love is beautiful, though I've never felt it myself. Not flowers-and-candy love; I'm referring to an old couple play-fighting and then "making up" with a sweet kiss and a laugh.

13. Imagine looking into a pool of tears,
    What do you see?
I see hope; once the pool dries, there will be happiness again.

14. Envision you are given a Gift to heal
      however the details left up to you-
    How would you use this Gift?
I would heal broken hearts and wounded spirits. I would bring happiness back to those who have lost it.

15. If you were given a *seed* by an Archangel
    What would you do with it and what did you
    base your decision on?
A seed? I suppose I'd plant it and nourish whatever grew (though I think I'm missing some sort of religious allusion here). What else would one do with a seed?

16. What skeletons are in your closet?
The mailman's, that guy who looked at me funny on the street one day, and my ex-girlfriend's.
Just kidding. ^_^
I keep last year's suicide attempt locked tight in a box at the bottom of my closet so no one will ever find it.

17. If you could paint the sky-
    What image would it be and what colors used?
I'd paint a mural of men and women of all shapes, colors and sizes expressing love and tolerance through things like hugs, smiles, etc.

18. What is the first thing that comes to Mind
      when I say: Hate
Daddy.
(He's full of that and beer.)

19. If you knew you had 3 hours: 33 minutes to Live...
      What would you do?
I'd spend that last bit of time I had with my family playing karaoke or something equally fun and meaningless.

20. If you knew you had the Power
      to stop and start time [stop time: only you keep moving]
    How would you use this Gift?
I wouldn't. The time-space continuum shouldn't be messed with.

21. If you could travel back to the past-
      Where would you go and why?
I'm going to make an exception to my previous statement. I would go back to my younger self, four years ago. I'd tell myself that I was beautiful and that some things in life just aren't worth it.

22. If you were given 777 million dollars to incite War
      where 777 Thousand would perish...
      What would you decide and why?
I could never live with the blood on my hands. I would walk away.

23. If you were given 7 minutes to decide what Sacrifice
      you would make for another to Live...
      What would that be and why?
I would give up my life for that of a stranger's.

24. If you found a wounded Sparrow-
      What would you do?
I would stabilize it as best I could and take it to the nearest vet. I'm no expert in bird health, so that would be all I could do.

25. If you had a 3 oz cup of cold water
      [the only liquid available]
      and your throat was parched but
      another person in the same room
      was near death from thirst...
      What would you do?
I would give up the water. They need it more than I do.

26. Why do you care what another thinks?
Despite the old "sticks and stones" rhyme, what other people say can hurt deeply. If a person thinks negatively about someone else, they're likely to voice their contempt.

27. If given a stone [fits in palm of hand]
      What would you do with it?
It depends. Is the stone good for skipping across a lake? Is it pretty? If it's pretty and no good for skipping, I'll keep it as a paperweight.

28. If you could find a Happy Place-
      Where would that be?
It would be anywhere I'm free to be myself, sans judgement.

29. What was the last Dream you had?
It was a memory of what had happened the day before; a harmless yet slightly frazzling one involving my two-year-old nephew and a tantrum over the color of his juice box.

30. If given a chance to make amends
      with anyone...[living or deceased]
      How would you go about doing that?
I would apologize, even if I wasn't at fault, and ask for a truce. I'd work on building our relationship from there.

31. If you had to place 3 items in basket-
      given to a person you disagree with-dislike...
      What would those items be?
A letter of apology (because I've probably been rude to them), a mix CD of my favorite songs, and a Hershey bar. I don't hold grudges and I believe everyone deserves a second chance, and a third, and a fourth... (read: I'm a doormat).

32. If you made a movie of your Life-
      What would the title be?
Broken Girl, or something similarly cheesy. It'd probably be a Lifetime movie.

33. Imagine going to a restaurant with Friends-Family
      and the Owner tells you...
    Your kind is not Welcomed here~
    What would your reaction be and why?
"Excuse me, MY kind? What kind would that be? Non-judgemental? Fair? Accepting and tolerant? If that's what you're judging on, you're right, my /kind/ doesn't belong here with yours." *leaves*
Or something equally witty. I don't tolerate intolerance.
