~ Daisy's

i was a green-eyed girl
watering under-loved daisy's
yet still, the petals fall
he loves me, he loves me not
and all the watering
made no difference

i was an open bloom
tempting love to find me
but he never came soon enough
and he never came ready
-to believe
in the eternal fragrance of-

i was a softer side
delicate and rare
but he didn't care or cherish
the beauty of my hair -dancing
in the wind
-my head on his shoulder

now i'm a little older
and skeptical in my ways
and the cinderella-after
is gone like yesterday
and the daisy's -oh the daisy's
and their wishy washy ways

-he loves me, he loves me not

Please tell me what you think

I think this expresses the curious nature of love quite well. Love can be so fickle, which hurts less by the years as jade and thick skin protects you from the pain of surprise. Well done.
