History repeats

She tries to keep a hold
of the ones she knows,
she could never live without,
but when the rift starts,
it's hard not to fall apart,
when you're torn in two,
by lies and deciet,
and all this damn misery.
The ending of one story,
rips another in half,
with no room for mercy,
and she can't see why,
it always has to be hers.

Is there any who watch,
to catch her if she falls,
or is she just teetering,
on the edge of oblivion,
with only a false hope,
to keep her standing?
She wants for an ending,
Be it life or death,
To give her some closure
Over the wounds she can’t
Seem to ever get over.

She tears out her heart,
So she can stop caring
For the ones that don’t care back
She tears out her eyes
So she can stop crying
For the ones that never look back
And she builds a wall
Not to keep them out
But to keep her from reaching back
To a past she can’t forget.
