War

War is wrong in ever situation
Anger and anxiety fills the air
Terror and oil fuels our frustration
What the soldiers would do fills their despair

If you happen to think I am wrong
Hold back, stop, and think why we are there
Wait and let me tell you we dont belong
If there wasn't any oil do you think we would care

I see you are confuised and untrusted
Soldiers walk through war with guns
Will it end when the bank is busted
While the goverment sits back and has their fun

What should we do,we must take a stand
To bring our soldiers to our homeland

Great! I definitely like your sentiment, and agree with what you are saying. I think on your page, you had said most of your poetry doesn't rhyme. This one does obviously, and I think it's great. Well done.
Also, I'm glad that you corrected storiesuntold about Afghanistan perpetrating the 9/11 attacks, not Iraq. We searched Afghanistan for a little while looking for Osama Bin Ladin, and had troops there, but if the current war was really about terrorism and not oil, we wouldn't be in Iraq. It was a good start, of course, to take Saddam out of power - but our government was only publicly using that goal and the suspicions of WMDs to justify a war over oil.
And if we really wanted to deter Iraqi terrorists from attacking America, wouldn't it only provoke them more having our troops in Iraq, especially when, as part of any war, there are always inevitable Iraqi civilian casualties - which I think more than anything else I could possibly think of, would really make terrorists want to retaliate against America that much more.

As a post script, none of my lyrics are this political, but rather about personal struggle, but maybe if you read them you might like them. lol. I just joined the site, so I will really appreciate any feedback, comments and constructive criticism.

  • Very good for the book

We wouldnt have gone over there if they hadnt hit the towers and killed so many innocent people . To have our soldiers there is preventing them from bringing more attacks on our home land .There has been wars since the beginning of time even when Jesus lived and in this itshows that humanity in all their wisdom have never learned to share and work together the people use raceism as an excuse to fight and they live the old history way to bring about new wars over and over again . Why do they teach the young all the wrongs the adults over time has done why not just teach the young the good things and in doing so the young would not hate one another as they grow older .Sad it is that history repeats itself and there you go the very young placed into training to hate from birth God where has the love gone
