As Day break comes and goes.

The luminous moon bathes in dying stars,
as depthless darkness swallows last light’s rays,
waves of crimson ripple; Silhouette of Mars,
slow unraveling clouds scatter, a haze.
Reflections glinting; diamond sea ablaze,
sinister shadows flitter beneath waves.
Intoxicating swell falls into the bay,
Sharp teeth, the rocky outcrop marks the grave
Of ruined vessels, shattered hulls concave.
Golden trinkets inside the ship enthrall,
Fiercely battling ocean mask the caves’
charcoal outline, a smudged island stands tall.
As sunlight shudders through the breaking night
I watch in wonder as the sun ignites.
