In your Love I softly cry:

     Father, this is me--

        the leaf you know so well.

 

Your touch is unconditional,

personal; You are the Tree

that gives Life.

 

 

In your Love I softly cry:

     Father, keep loving me--

        the leaf you know so well.

 

You keep me where Love is--

the leaf so carefully

created to serve Your nature.

               

 

In your Love I softly cry:

     Father, keep rejuvenating me--

        the leaf you know so well.

 

You shelter me when I fall

where I learn of You

in and through me.

 

 

In your Love I softly cry:

     Father, I love You--

        the leaf you know so well.
