The fiddling with the pencil
The doodling on the pad
The staring out the window
And the driving myself mad.
Elastic band balls
And paper clip chains
Shredded paper snowflakes
With tea and coffee stains.
Random internet searches
Bizarre texts to friends
The sighing and the moaning
The boredom never ends.
So then you’re in bed
Before it’s even eleven
Because compared to this hell
Sleep could be heaven.
And as a postscript
To this cute little song.
Yes, I am bored
And the days are too long.
But at least I’ve kept busy
Writing this rhyme
And managed to kill
Thirty seconds of time.

Great rhyme throughout and I really loved that little bit of a surprise ending, it
gave me a bit of a giggle. I wished I could write something in thirty seconds... lol
Heck, it probably takes me longer than that to write this review... roflmbo
This was a cute write and it certainly fit the prompt well. I saw nothing that needed revising.
Thank you for entering and I wish you luck
in the judging phase.

Enjoyed
You hit this right on the nail.
The imagery took me there.
Been there too many times,I think thousands have, but most may deny it.
Oh gosh,don't remind me.
I lyk the sleep and heaven part a lot.
Good luck!
