The mystic horseman cought her eye,
shrouded though he was in lies:
a handsome face, a mighty stance,
and fire in his eyes did dance.
His noble steed stood proud and strong
and at his sight her heart, in song,
ceased to weep and sought to keep
sight and hand of him, so sweet...
and too she proved to be naive,
leapt upon his steed to leave
the world that had abandoned her
knowing it would never stir...
The horseman, as you well should know,
was not as he appeared, and so,
revealed his face, she cried in fear,
and promptly they two disappeared....
Author notes
Not as mystical or entrancing, perhaps, as the picture deserves, but this is what it inspired in me. Hope you like it.

Nice title. A good write and take on the picture prompt. Good flow and tone. Nice imagery and rhyme. Enjoyed the story. Good word choice, nice alliteration and assonance. Thank you for your entry.
