With my iniquity brings my shame
full of frustration comes forth silence
I can't speak because only evil comes out
I try to ignore my pain, and heavier becomes my heart
Once again I ignored You Lord Jesus
I took it upon myself to be enticed
I allowed my flesh comfort, when I should have run
What good is God's Word if I do the opposite
Why am I such a fool, to allow myself this misery
I'm so ashamed even my Worship is faded
It's my fault, I can't blame anyone but myself
The devil spun his web and I made it my bed
When will I ever remember that my sins crucified the Lord
Oh God, I am broken, destroyed, an empty tomb
Once again Your Restoration sounds sweet as honey
The Joy of the Lord, I miss greatly
Psalm 85:4-7
4 Restore us, O God of our salvation,
And cause Your anger toward us to cease.
5 Will You be angry with us forever?
Will You prolong Your anger to all generations?
6 Will You not revive us again,
That Your people may rejoice in You?
7 Show us Your mercy, LORD,
And grant us Your salvation
Hebrews 4:14-16 The Message bible translation
14-16Now that we know what we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let's not let it slip through our fingers. We don't have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He's been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. So let's walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help.
