beginnings are so beautiful
laughter ahead found in the road
twists and turns will usually form
but i still keep living
my mind has cleared
for these few moments
alone but feeling cared for
though your arms are not near these eyes
i feel more open today
more alive
than yesterday
i'm like a kid
opening up new presents
this is much more
like the sun shining on my face
while the moon leans on the clouds
happiness has finally found me
this is a gift
but without the ribbon and bows.
