A rare trigonometry
of friendship and love
Every lesson that uncovers itself
from above.
Through break downs and let downs,
mistakes and sad hearts...
Through growth and eyes opening,
And smiles cracked apart...
We will empty ourselves
and take the uncharted path
Meet up with me now and we'll
undo the math.
The pyramid is perfect,
Above the clouds it will rise
With our strength we will climb
Where there's no more goodbyes.
The truth will be echoed
Bright lights will be lit
Reminding us that squares inside circles don't fit.
Triangle of balance,
Three sides and a corner...
The truth will be found,
When we're kneeling together.
Our sight of each other
can't be altered or bent...
If your sight becomes blurry,
my eyes you can rent.
What are you waiting for?
You belong by my side.
Never again, by yourself will you hide.
There's a whole in my chest,
You're the void that I lack.
We both know the truth,
Someday you'll come back.
There is something to say,
And I have to confess:
You're everything in a man
I've ever wanted,
no less.
I would have married you then
and I'd marry you today.
Five years and still passing,
I still feel the same.
If I were to make a list
and describe the perfect life mate
It would be a recipe of you
with a dash of good fate!
The first night I met you
You tore me down
with no warning
Your hands touched my skin
and my heart's flood came pouring.
I cried beneath your touch
as if your hands stirred my soul.
I remember clearly thinking
as I took in it all...
That I'd walk away changed,
No matter how small...
My heart knew it then,
And it wanted to fall.
Our little affair,
Was the ephemeral kind...
But the story's not over,
For you, I have pined.
You've only played a few cameo parts
Maybe one day we will meet
for a sequel of starts.
If not, then the memory of
the sweetest night of my life,
will stay safely tucked in between
the moon's soft twilight.
If ever you travel over distance and time,
You have a free pass
-into my dark liquid eyes.
and I'm certain that your touch,
contains the miracle cure...
To heal my broken smile,
I'm certainly sure.
So when you stop being dizzy,
by logic and thoughts...
Meet me in the center of the maze,
There's no way you'll get lost...
The map is our minds,
The compass, our hearts.
It's really quite simple,
Just follow the stars.
Beware of the storms...
That will rain in your head,
they rain in mine too...
From things left unsaid.
Shut down
Endless chatter,
That rattles and aches.
Quiet your mind,
and the rumbling it makes.
Come back to my life,
I'm sick of the phone.
Why are we both
Still apart and alone?
