Illuminated in the new light, I can count each freckle
and I can follow – with my fingertip – the pallour of your skin
wherever it may lead.
Illuminated in a new sky, I find your breath reminds me
of the winds that stayed behind and the gentle stirring of your eyelids
fulfills the dreams I left.
Illuminated in the new light, you are mine and I yours;
I shall not wake you from your slumbers but I may well smile
as I feel whole.

Thats a beautiful love poem. Its sensitive, subtle and simple expressing the simple joy of being with the one you love. I can really understand the feelings expressed in this, I often get that thrill of tenderness watching a certain person sleep. Well written, good luck in the contest.
