Alienated by human nation

I am never alone
Yet alone all the time

Coming out of my insecurities
Made from  broken promises and lies
This little child is walking
No reason or an alibi
For the nights that he cries

Where he stands there was
Once a man
Who knew what to do ,
who felt like he had a cause
and knew where to stand
After everything was through

So he screams
Where am I
Where do I go now?
Constantly breaking at the seams
While others stand by
Are we still in this Tao.

Beaten down by hypocrites
Listening to the majority
About how he was wrong
still sees it as bullshit
Finding answers that seem easy
Not the reason for this song

I heard that special beat
and saw that broken boy
If you don’t like this sound
This sounds better than deceit
that broke this special boy
Broke him all around

So he wants to cry
Who are you
to point that finger?
Are the whores that high
Each of you
Has to be a preacher?

I don’t care if you like this sound
It’s been held in my heart
For the last six years
Now I release what had me bound.
Coming from the heart
I now have righteous fears.

It took some much time
To get these words right for you
A rant with a rhyme
I wrote this just for you

Author notes

I got this off a beat from a local band named Terror Grinder

http://www.myspace.com/terrorgrinder

The song is TCS and it's on their page.

I am working on the name.

I plan to revise this poem: please leave constructive criticism!

  • Well done!

  • Wow! A powerful write from the opening to the conclusion. This is well written and it calls the reader to dig deeper and see the injustice in the situation. Well done!

Hmm, that's an interesting name for a band

Anyway, this is a stellar poem. I relate to this poem on many different levels, and you have, simply, blown me away.

    Well done, and blessed be.

If you only knew how I can relate to this right now for a friend, It sings out and it touched me in a very sad way, especially stanza four, Liked the rant with a rhyme scheme, well done

  • Outstanding

I liked these lyrics - I thought there was some depth to this and it made me think of how frail we are as human beings and how difficult life can be. I liked the way you talked about getting things out of our system and staring afresh. A well written and insightful poem.

an interesting write. I am not really into music. But I think it flowed well and you used some imagery that was used well.

  • Actually very good. My favorite was the last stanza. Reminds me of what i was just thinking about. Great job!
