I will not obey my orders,
tonight I will abandon my site,
I don't have the strength to fight,
I am flying back to your heart,
and I am not going to hide.
I have declared war against your love,
and spent many days and nights
trying to avoid getting lost in your eyes,
getting melt by your breath,
or even getting paralyzed by your touch.
Eventually I failed,
i fought with arrogance side by side,
against you and your love
and now his blood is all over my face.
but at least I have laid my armor down
after a glorious fight.
I don't believe that
all these time I have been searching
for home and it is right between your arms.
I have been trying to find
happiness and its simply your smile.
Kiss me and wake me up,
bring life back to my heart.
let me stand on my feet again
and I will return the favor,
and I will give you the throne of my heart.
I promise you this is the last sunset
you will ever witness alone.
I will be always by your side,
with only one mission
to make you smile.

With the war lost, yet pleased to fail
Stripped of armour and arrogance too
Finding love was always in front of you

So well-penned and sweet! Sometimes the hardest thing, when it comes to life, is to let the guard down. You brilliantly showed that giving in sometimes doesn't cause pain, but we have to try.

You spoke of love in ways that I can truly understand, your fight was lost at the onset for we all know the phases love must follow.
Be yourself, just give it a chance and it will grow and blossom, just remember that love like anything else needs a good tending to and can be allot of work.

this is a sweet poem, with a nice flow to it, my only suggestions would to dig a little deeper with your metaphors and to be consistent with capitalizing your "i"s through out the poem....great job poet, a very enjoyable poem
