I think as I travel slowly,
Down in Dreamland where we had walked,
And think of all the fun times,
As we walked and talked,
I think about the first time we met,
When we laughed until we cried,
And the last time I saw you,
When you laughed even as you died,
I don't cry because I know you're happy now,
Watching over me,
And being my guardian angel,
The silent helper I can't see.
Through my youth you guided me,
And in your age I was there,
And even now I can feel you,
And I know you still care.
I can travel the world over,
But I'll never find another,
You're my one and only,
Surrogate mother.
As I continue wandering in Dreamland,
Like we us ed to do,
I realize how much I cared,
And how much I still love you,
I hope you're happy where you are,
I hope your soul is free,
And where ever you may go,
You'll still think of me,
So as I lay down by your grave,
And the wind begins to blow,
I feel your arms around me,
Like everywhere else I go.
