Closure

Missing image

Natal memory stored deep within

of maternal bed of long ago.

Fetal yearnings on quest

continually, to find

beginnings to his existence,

till a mother who kissed him

goodbye long ago at birth

embraces him once again.

This time love has found

the way back, forever!

Author notes

Immediately seeing this print was a picture of my son, looking inside himself and around for his roots of his existence...My husband and I told him of his beginnings when he was two years old...and he has been looking and wondering ...This year has brought closure to a little boy's questions, and joy to his birth mother's heart!

Wow....are yousitting down??..so weird this is..I believe we we were meant to hook What do you think?I am anxious to speak with you...My son is 25 years old..Michael..We adopted him when he was 2 days old..He is our miracle. He grew not in the stomach of my wife, but in her heart..He has always always known he was adopted, yet he never has been curious who his birth mother was,We have given him all the info we have of her....so if he wanted,,he could begin to investigate, and , if he did, we would gladly do all we can to help him....So far, he has not had an inclination to do so.I wish that he would..I have no fear of this..He knows this.I actually would love for him to hook up with his birth mother. If it were me, I would want to..I would be curious..I would want to know about genetics, and so forth. So far, he has no desire..I would like to know how your son finally hooked up with his birth mother..What was the process?.I hope you feel as I do, and have a desire to hook up with me.Your talent is amazing, mine is not, yet our styles are similar..I love free verse, as you

    God bless

    John

I used fetal once, and I've not seen it since until now, lovely embryonic stage of life it seems, as the after life or before, either way it is magnificent.

How true your words Angelo...For all those seeking souls, that may have given up on finding answers....Never give up...

  • Rose,

Your words are just amazing, this poem strikes a chord, it lends a home to those roaming hearts that search and never find.

What we give in this life, the gifts of love, of happiness they carry no earthly price, no amount of gold could even begin to sway the balance.

I so love this poem of yours and feel would like to truly thank you for sharing this.

There is something chilling when eyes glance that picture in your piece. While your words reforce the value of the image.
