I.
She enters in flowing white --
Sunlight fading turning dawn to dusk
One I do in a screeching halt
And it all fell straight apart.
She dances with the rivers aflame
Everything collapses around her
She's setting ablaze to this world as he knows it
Doesn't care it's how she chose it.
II.
Alone at an altar snaking through the crowd
Holding back the pain in his chest
He drives fast as he can and lets the building do the rest
Sirens scream but he hears none life undone.
She dances with the rivers aflame
Everything collapses around her
She's setting ablaze to this world as he knows it
Doesn't care it's how she chose it.
III.
Alone she sits perched on a tree
Tells him silently "you were too close to me"
She pretended to do her part
But her flaws weren't apparent at the start.
She can fake her way through anything
No matter where or, what it's her life,
Her party scene.
Play and dance no one gets a chance.
She dances with the rivers aflame
Everything collapses around her
She's setting ablaze to this world as he knows it
Doesn't care it's how she chose it.
but she can fake her way through anything...

Black Cat.
"Close-up, camera one; the hero sings in this scene..."
Fabulous piece, and fabulous song.
/Tells him silently "you were too close to me"/
Was a really good line, I think. I liked it a lot.
It sounds a lot like a little scene from my life.

Very nice. Like somebody else said, I like the repetition, almost like a song. Sounds like some women I've known. Good job. -
I loved the girl in this, maybe because it sounds like me or just I don't know, it was a beautiful character and an really nice poem, the repetition really tied everything together. great write.
