New Life

Conceived by forces
of mind will
New life unborn,
lies so still
In a red and fragile world
sleeping softly
round and  curled,
Fed,  by an unseen line
that is old
as man and time,

Soft membranes break,
hard ripples push
This unborn child
into lifes mad rush,
Safely steered
by an unseen guide,
This babe,
starts the journey,
on lifes treacherous slide

I like your word choice, and the creativity used in certain lines that are well written. There are some places though where the poem seems to slip too quickly from one event to the next. I really enjoyed the imadry of 'hard ripples bush' and the first stanza. Lovily. Thank you for entering.
