I just shattered the moon
because I know
poets don't need the moon
to shine --
I have words to light a whole galaxy;
nearly an entire universe
and I know you will never let them die
even in darkness on days when the stars I've created are weary
on days when the clouds over your head are dark and uninviting
on days when your frustrations turn to tears and not one smile lights your face
I will shine for you, and, with my love, I will recreate your light.

well done darling. I love this rendition, also.

I find this very well done. If anyone finds someone that thinks of them this way, then they have a love.
