There’s a nook in Newark
a few scant blocks from me
Branch Brook Park
in all its’ majesty!
Designed by the architect
of ‘The Central Park’
it’s a lovely place to be
but never after dark!
Large winding lake
ensconced by lions
ever so statuesque
fountain soaring high, as if in a quake!
Ducks galore and even geese
come right here to have a feast
best be lively on your feet
or you’ll be wearing what they eat!
There’s a nook in Newark
a few scant blocks from me
Branch Brook Park
in all its’ majesty!
Author notes
I love this park & wish I had the physical means to enjoy it like I'd like!

LOL....
I write 'em as they come & don't normally stick to a 'standard' unless I'm writing specifically in a form. Thanks for your read & wishes!

I love city parks

Although I don't live in the northeast anymore, I'm going to google Branch Brook Park to find out more about it.
Do you have any photos? -
