I am nomadic.
I live on toilet seats, clothing, towels, your furniture,
and even the keyboard you so happily type on.
[Zig zag, zig zag]
Give me a hand, and I will give you The Itch.
Give me a crevice and I will burrow into it.
You don’t know what you’re messing with.
I am a master of disguise.
[S-s-s-s-s- zig zag]
You thought you had lice or fleas,
you were so wrong.
You thought you had syphilis or dermatitis,
now you don’t know where you belong.
[Zig zag, zig zag]
You won’t even know I’m here.
I can live inside of you for years,
and multiply in a matter of days.
Children, meet your new brothers and sisters [just five days].
[S-s-s-s-s- zig zag]
I live a very short, but very fast life.
I’d prefer to live inside you,
three to four weeks is amazing.
But I’m all right on my own for fourteen days.
[Zig zag, zig zag]
Compromise yourself, I will take advantage.
Give me your pets, I will bring them misery.
Give me your toys; you won’t need them after this.
Give your sanity to me.
Your one true enemy,
Scabies
Author notes
Scabies can affect humans as well as your pets. It mirrors itself to match other skin disorders, such as lice, fleas, syphillis, or dermatitis. To find out if you have scabies, you can take ink from a fountain pen and put it on the suspicious area then wipe it clean with alcohol. If a zig zag pattern or an s-pattern appear, then you may have it. It's always good to take things like this to your doctor though. It may be something different.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy the Scabies perspective. I enjoyed writing this one. It scared the people I proof-read it to. lol. Go me. *gnaw*

Wow; I think I enjoyed reading this more
then you did writing it lol
A lot can be grasped from your write
here, as you delve deeply into the
origin of this disease, and describe
the symptoms very raw and in-your-face,
so the message gets out clearly.
I love how you placed " [zig-zag zig-zag] & [S-s-s-s-s zig-zag]
in between your stanzas. It added that extra emphasis
and really stuck out.
This poem was very well written
and you spoke wisely through your use
of clever langauge.
Best of luck & thanks for entering
