I walk during daylight,
My skin as black as night,
For my color they hate me,
Everyday I have more fright.
They tell me I’ll be safe,
They tell me to sit down,
I know this is a white man’s seat,
I can see it in his frown.
To fight for my freedom,
I know to sit right there,
No fear, no fists, no fighting,
I know these laws are unfair.
So arrested I was,
Against what I thought was unjust.
I was found guilty on this charge,
These laws I’ll never trust.
Soon after my arrest,
They hear our pleas and cries.
We use it to gain our freedom,
We use it so no more die.
Soon after King’s speech,
Soon after we know his dream.
He may die because of it,
But at least we know were free.
Please tell me what you think

*sigh* I'm glad we've come so far... The best blood I have runnign through me could not even stand up for themselves- they just walked their trail of tears.
