The river flows around me
Like a smooth and silky snake.
The freezing ice soon hits me,
And I begin to shake.
Water’s so deceiving,
It’s what’s behind the eyes that count.
I see through your skin,
And my fear begins to mount.
With eyes as clear as glass,
With caution it observes.
Whilst flowing oh so fast,
Past rocks it swerves and curves.
