Summer Days at the Beach

My summer on the beach
two days a week
I always meet nice people
that offer me something
to eat or drink
Some times they offer
a unbrella
to sit in the shade
I work hard
for my geogerous tan
I am darker
then I ever been
I watch the birds fly
by in the sky
The white
black and brown pelicans
Clowning
and fighting over a fish
The black ones
swoop and dive
For their fieast
enough mullets to go around
Shrimps
and sting rays
close to shore
Swimming in the gulf
with my boogie board
Crabs are crawling
side ways
by the rocks
Trying to find a
place to hide
Waves crashing down
on the sea shore

Be careful or they will

knock you

over

I love the beach, too -- this made me want to be there, in the sun. mostly I liked it, but a little more punctuation or some stanzas might have made it flow better -- reading it, it seemed kind of rushed. overall, though, it's very summery. good luck!

The sights of summer. Aren't they great? Good one, fellow poet.
