Tomb of the Unknown

Here I lay,
In the cold darkness,
Awaiting our eternity together.

I am so sorry,
When I left you,
It was not intentional.

Promise me,
When the end comes,
You will seek me out.

My mausoleum,
Your salvation,
So deep underground.

Far away from the bombs and false gods,
Safe from the riots and murderers,
I will protect you.

I am not your god,
But I might be your father,
Your friend, or your lover.

Once you've read this,
I will be watching you,
And protecting you.

Keep me close to your heart,
Do not worship me,
Do not fear me.

Enjoy your haven,
With no questions asked,
Especially when Death comes.

Nothing lasts forever,
Except your soul,
Inside my sheltered tomb.

  • Haunting

It is a hunting write that make me wonder...

  • This is chilling...and every line had such an impact. A creepy dark write! Thanks for entering and good luck.
