waves lapping steadily at the sand
the point where ocean meets the land
containing crystal blues and emerald greens
and every color inbetween
gulls cry out over head
begging the humans to be fed
swooping down for a quick meal
carrying it away within their bills
the water is a cool retreat
from the summer's afternoon heat
run on down and dive right in
enjoy a refreshing, all-day swim
loving the feel of sand between my toes
the sun on my back as off i doze
relaxing in its warming rays
enjoying the rest of my wonderful day
never want to leave this place
walk away with a frowning face
reluctantly tuck myself in to my bed
with dreams of the beach filling my head

Pretty
I like 'crystal blues' and emerald greens'; very illustrative. A nice, uplifting and natural poem. Well done.
