The Day The Earth Stood Still

Last night God came to speak with me,
Telling how He was here to save the earth.
He spoke of how His creatures were dying,
And He had no choices left to choose.
Global warming was killing the beauty...
He told of this beauty,
The wondrous pearl paint of polution cars,
And the beautiful tubling of cigarette butts,
Upon the staind sidewalk concrete.
There was no choice left He had to save the world.
As my little brother snuck in He was curious-
"I want to help u save the world too.
I can help!"
The Lord's chuckle made my stomache rumble,
and then He spoke to us.
"You see I am here to save the Earth, Not to save human-kind"
I was puzzled but as he continued,
My confusin became fright.
"I created Man to live with the other species,
not to destroy and conquer them. It is my duty to un-do my own mistake"
As he finished these words I knew what would come.
It was now time to say good bye.

But I don't really think that is what will come of it all. It's still a very entertaining piece! Good luck in my contest!!
