I loved them all, the ones who did this to me, the ones that watched, the ones that cried.
The ones that laughed.
I loved them as I was forced back on the harsh, unforgiving wood of the cross. I loved them as I felt the nails against my palms.
Father forgive them, I thought.
It was inevitable and I did not fight it.
They know not what they do.
The nails were forced into my skin and I held back my screams though the agony was great.
My eyes were towards heaven, towards my Father. I filled my mind with prayers for him, praises of love.
When I thought of him it was as though the pain became greater and I could hardly hold it in. So I did the only thing I could do.
I prayed.
I love him, I thought. I love him, I love him, I love him.
They were lifting the cross now, forcing it into the ground so that it stood erect and I was displayed for all the world to see.
The sharp scent of my own blood pushed into my mind like a sword. The nails pulled against my skin, ripping it.
And I still loved them all.
Author notes
Yes, this is first person Jesus. I know alotof people wouldn't even touch this and, in all honesty, I probably shouldn't either. I mean, I'm just a kid. Really, I'm less than that next to him. But it makes it all the more personal when it's written like this and I know it's all accurate. If it's something like this that brings someone to God, something they feel they can understand better (though none of us can really understand what he went through) then how could it be wrong?

I like that you made a letter, you were unique in that because no one else did. I wish you could have told about how he felt when people persecuted him when he was doing good things though. However, for this short section I enjoyed how you put your mind in what you think Jesus would have thought.
Again, thanks for entering.

Wonderful, intimate view from Jesus, and His thoughts. Well done. Blessings.
