grandma

Please don't sing sad songs for me, Forget your grief and fears,

For  she is in a perfect place, Away from pain and tears.

grandma is far away from hunger And hurt and want and pride,

she has a place in Heaven With the at Master her side

My life on earth was very good, As earthly lives can go,

But Paradise is so much more Than anyone can know.

My heart is filled with happiness And sweet rejoicing, too.

To walk with God is perfect peace, A joy forever new.

  • welcome to all poetry

This is a very sweet poem you have written for her. It is hard to deal with the loss, but knowing there is something more to go to makes it a little easier.

  • It is so hard when you lose someone that means so much to you. You have expressed your pain and the "knowing" your Grandma is now at peace so very well. Your writing reminds me of when my parents have left this earth and even though it hurts so much now remember whilst she is within your heart she is still here with you.
You have a wonderful expression within your words and I found poetry helped me so much throughout my life.
Even with a heartfelt topic this touched me in so many ways beyond the knowing of loss
welcome to Ap and I hope we help you to express your feelings in the future
