In my imagination,
When meeting my eternal demise
I see flames.
Dark flames,
Engulfing my surroundings
While I remain in the center,
Terrified & clueless.
Never did I see myself,
Sprouting wings, and flying
Up to the sky, through the clouds,
And to suddenly be in paradise
For I am a perpetual sinner
I don't belong with the angels.
And though it is my imagination
I could never really visualize fantasy.
As the flames would approach,
No one was around
No savior to magically come to my need.
So I stood, as my body now,
Ablaze.
My flesh afire, and
I cry in searing pain.
Not only am I dying,
I'm being dragged
For the flame grew arms,
Bound around my legs
As I beg for mercy,
I am taken
To the place,
I always said I would go.
When that agony ends
Another harsher obstacle begins.
Though aside from the pain
The end is here,
And how truly beautiful it is
That I no longer have to survive.
