Remembered Well

Missing image

You breathed life into a broken soul
whose heart spilled onto concrete floors
at the feet of a crowd she tried to be loved by;
but you were her essence, her very life with living limbs
and a beating heart unbroken by a shadowed society.

Lips seeping words of cream's consistancy
and arms that revived even the most dead of dreams,
you bowed at her every whim
just to see her once luminous smile brighten again.

Eyes sparkling with a new dew of morning
and honeyed skin sparkling with renewal,
you strode into the sunrise at the dawn of a new day,
then left her there with the memories of you as you delved back into the night.

This is actually really personal. I "remember well" the things a friend did for me just to get me back on my feet. Then he disappeared....i'll never forget though

    I sort of know how you feel with this. I too, had a friend who did so much for me to help me and then all of a sudden we stopped talking and it was like he disappeared.This was sad and I could definately feel the emotion in this. It flowed well. You did a wonderful job.
