The Reason

I am not a perfect person,
Neither are you!

I tried so many times to tell you,
I have changed to fit you.

You wanted me to be locked in your arms,
You wanted me to fight for your charm,
You wanted me to be just like you,
To love the same music as you do.

You wanted me to hold back my anger,
You wanted me to feed your love hunger,
You wanted me to run after you everywhere,
Yet, It wasn't enough, you never care!!

I have been a different person,
Now I look at the mirror,
I don't recognize me !
I have been a different person,
And you never ask,
What did you do for me?

The reason is  you,
Yes, you!

I loved you, with all my heart,
Changing every skin I had,
Now, would you change for me??

Hoobastank -- the Reason

I know it's completely the opposite meaning of The Reason song, but I was in this mood & I was inspired by it this way.

Hope it makes a good poem.

    good job with the prompt...I loved that you did the opposite meaning. It is like the songs opposing view. very good
