People are rushing
around groceries stores
Grabing water, can goods,
bags of ice,
flash lights and batteries
Then they go by a
gas station
and fill up on gas
Head out town
before the storm
comes down
Or if you was like me
Not leaving Galveston Island
not even being prepared
for the storm
I think it is pretty cool
to see the high
waves at the beach
as evening came
We watched the waves
go over the sea wall
By the time the hurricane hit
everyone was asleep
peacefully
Until windows start breaking
100 a mile winds
and everything outside
gets knocked around
and making
so much noise
