With surreptitious glances around the dirt and dust laden room
I spot several spatters of deep crimson highlighting the cracking cement-brick walls.
And what is that ornery pile over there ? Bones ?
Brilliant.
I ignore my freedom to stretch my scratched bloody knees and remain rooted at the spot, where copious amounts of rotting corpses decaying from age and maggots lay beneath me.
And I am all too unaware.
With unrequited reluctance, I begin to reminisce how exactly I got here.
All I can recall was a pleasurable evening out with friends
and then a hand masked in a putrid leather casing wrapped itself
around my mouth and waist, dragging me into a van full of menacing tools
equipped with horrifying visuals.
And then I awoke in this hell hole.
A blood-curdling creak is all I hear.
I draw in a single harried breath as the sound of slithering from a coat tail being dragged across the squalid ground is whispering at my pleading ears.
Then I feel the cool sliver of a blade stroke my throat harmlessly
and then I hit the floor in a pool of crimson.
Author notes
Meh.
Wrote it while watching fireworks. I suck at writing dark stuff.
Give it your harshest.
