Turning the cheek a slap ensued
Judging the one's who seem so subdued
Crouching around smiling in sham
Most don't even know who I am
Conterfeit handshakes
They sneer those sly snakes
dodging the bullet I manage this time
riding the wave of unfortunate slime
They wait in secret to pounce the talk
Rolling the eye's as they stare and gawk
Justified by some rare few
Thoughts of disdain always ensue
Breaking away to where true friends await
give no more to the fisherman's bait
Luring me back... the spineless they come
I no longer entertain this body of scum!

thanks I should have caught that...lol! I was trying to write this and at the same time I have a newborn who was demanding of my attention ...so I really appreciate when someone points out the errors I miss
Thank you again for reading and your feedback I appreciate it a lot!

I like this! Should that be spineless in the last stanza?
