Stoic Places

The curve of the slant enticed me
as the pool in his eyes gave rushes
I encircled the path we'd previously traveled
like molecules left out on the shelf

In the distance my heart retreated
lost in the core of his refined neglect
gulping for air that was so missing
satisfied that the blow would be swift

Grateful for the reserve of emotions
yes, there are places one can travel
where roads are for the most part un-used
abstract views, vertical and horizontal line mixtures

Over staying of warm welcomes are not encouraged
for the thrill lapses in the elapsed time's quickie moments
its in such times and such places one loses the self
and the road home seems to never un-wind.
