Mohmad sits in a hovel of dusty bricks
Next to an orchard of dead and dying sticks.
There's no recourse to regain ancestral lands;
It's now time to wreak vengence with his own hands.
Enemies will gather at the Wailing Wall
To mourn the sad passing of those who will fall;
Incinerated on their gleaming shuttle.
His statement once made, awaits their rebuttal.
In response poor habitations are destroyed,
Dynamite and bulldozers most often employed;
Acts that only hot emotions can defend.
The cycle of violence goes on without end.
A child in the Arab Quarter is born
To grow up in a land violently torn.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my work. I am not a fan of the tactics of the P.L.O, the Black September movement, or Hamas. At the same time, the Isreali position is no more valid than any other invader. After 60 years merely telling Isreali descendents of European Jews to go home is not realistic. Each side has its own point of veiw. This particular poem illustrates the Palastinian point of view.
