places my mind has been

backlit surprise
she knows I am here
she knows I am thirsty
she walks as if on a runway

full of surprise
yet nothing hidden
a soft gentle brush by
haughtily
near but not inviting
inviting a look, but not touch
a promise of what could be
if...if
if you figure out the if

get back to work
holes in the road
shovel
a polite nod as she passes by?
maybe a whistle or a hoot
maybe a bit of reflection

what rises within
a passing dream
something to talk about in the bar over a beer
to the rapt attention of the hardhats
not thinking “who is she”
only thinking

what could she be to me?

I removed the first prompt because I caught hell from the mods. They thought the first one was too pornographic for AP. But this one's not. Make sense?
    nope, to me neither.
I love this write, thank you.
    Love,

    Welcome to AllPoetry!

This has some great imagery in it I really like the way that you question what would happen here - it makes the reader imagine the scenario themselves well done!

Welcome to the site, I hope that you enjoy your time here at AllPoetry!
