Those plans that I had might have looked rather grand
Though I checked in with God and he held up his hand
He said I was smarter than that and was sure
I'd be leaving a life much more blessed and pure
I accepted God's judgment; after all he should know
The right against wrong way believers must go
To spare themselves painful trial and snare
Setting examples that prove faith does care
The next time that you plan to do what you want
Be wise in that plan, do not be nonchalant
Seek God's will, kneel in prayer, ask his council and grace
He knows better than you and will keep you in place

This makes me think of how children attempt those risky things only to later have to admit that mom and perhaps dad were right...lots of love

You are so right. God always knows what is best for us, but we don't always listen. Good luck in the contest.
