No beginning and no end
Nor bound by space, or time
Human minds can’t comprehend
It all seems so sublime
Vast is your lowliest thought
Earth trembles at your voice
In thyne own image, I’m wrought
Yet fashioned by self-choice
Birthed here that I might find you
Human heart’s attraction
Wasted years spent wand’ring through
Chaos and distraction
Love could not be “love,” by force
Sin’s “sinful,” in the light
Die to self and find life’s source
New days dawn out of night
Hearing I’ve not understood
This love you have toward me
Price you’ve paid, or why you would
O’ touch my eyes to see
Knowing you, and who you gave
Your Son I have received
Vicious cross my soul to save
Then was “now,” when I believed
Help me also give his gift
The One who gave his life
Reaching out to mend this rift
T’was rent by man’s own strife
Live my life that others know
Your Spirit in my heart
Raise you up and “self” make low
Love’s Gospel to impart
End of days upon me come
Such peace to have inside
Living to complete Christ’s sum
Rather living to have died
Author notes
Inspired by one of my favorite Bible passages: Acts 17:26-28
When we die, will we have truly "lived?"

WELL-WRITTEN AND EASY TO READ!
a very good rhyming scheme and simple in direction; reads like a prayer...!!!

"Vicious cross my soul to save
Then was “now,” when I believed"
I know exactly what you're saying. And forced love is not really love at all, so true.
