Among Us: Living Sacrilege

I walk into your church towards the pulpit, saying: Yes, I'm interrupting and for a good reason. It is time for you good people to know of one of yours, because the Truth will set you free; free of the demon in your midst; the very son of satan among you.

Look, even now he is beside you, with an innocent expression on his face. Oh yes: I know you, snake; I have always known you. As the boot of God's heel did smite you, so today will I send you hence.

Yes, the truth is a mighty sword of God and you will know its keen edge from my tongue.
It is a miracle of God's divine grace that you did not burst out into flames yet. You live on the bounty of Gods willingness to suffer the loath; you that mutilate the pure, curse mothers of children, slay your brother in hatred and in greed and defoul the Lord's very name.

May the mercy of God be upon you and those that protect you and your falsehoods.
You cannot escape, for you cannot repent. The Word redemption defies you.

For hell has no fury as God has for you, that rape and misuse Love.

I take my leave. But not before I have gifted those who are silenced by fear with a blessed tongue:

Fearful Beloved:

take this flame

as a light to your heart.

It will both scorch

the scorchable

and enlighten your path.

Author notes

The Whole Truth resides in all of us. Remember me not for the words I wrote, but for the Light carried in fearlessness and in truth. Please pray for awareness and for protection of the masked evil amidst us, even within. My prayers to all survivors, counselors, psychologists, medical and protection units and support groups, who in truthful sincerity reach out to those who suffer the onslaught of evil. My prayers also to those still living in fear and in secrecy, to break the silence. I love you all! HUGS, Myra

Way to go old testament, there, with the wrath of god and all. It certainly highlights your points and the compassionate side of this poem...Robert L

  • Wow.
    This was really an awakening.
It's sad how we forget the basics of life and unknowingly feeds the devil inside.
Truth and fearlessness are indeed the grounds on which every religion is based.
    A beautiful write.
All the best in the contest.

As compassionate guidance allows us to escape from the induced confine of simplified deceit into the complexity of the all encompassing truth, in the universal battle of waves the scales are tipped to high frequencies, reflecting unconditional Love - our Source and Destiny. Thank you for creating and sharing, precious Muse. I wish you the best of luck in the contest and in your quest to make aware as many as you can. Ack.

Chris, I know you know about Agapé, the love that is not Eros (romantic love), nor Philos (friendship), but the divine and unconditional love, sacred and predestined, which shows integrity, patience, caring, trust and meekness.

In my daily life I strife towards Agapé Love, given to us in the Bible in I Corinthians 13:4-8 : "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."

Many souls turn away from churches BECAUSE it sometimes become a harbor for evil, how terrible that may sound! The important thing is: evil is not ONLY outside churches, neither resides sacredness ONLY inside churches. Being part of a congregation is a privilege; sermons from a pure and loving heart touch me deeply, support and sustain me.Often people say to me: I hate Christians and Christianity, for they do not practice what they preach. Generalizations like this hurt me deeply, for often the origin stems from truths, which makes me ashamed.

God will NEVER turn away ANYONE coming to Him, yearning for calmness and peace. Our task is to bring the FULL message of Joy to all in search of the Light.

To me it is impossible to imagine that a GOD intensely and deeply involved with Love and creation would be an entity separate from life. Nature as a whole is in fact a unity in which no event, object or thought does anything without affecting the oneness of all that exists. There is a technical background for this personal belief, but it goes too far to expound on it here. In my latest entry and the links to the information contained in it, the outline of this process is reflected. The induced simplicity of matters is an intentionally projected perception that is far removed from reality that is complex beyond imagination. But complexity does not reduce the involvement of Love in all, it does the exact opposite. It includes nature's essential zest and power to restore its perfect original state, regardless of how extreme the deviation from that state at some point in linear time may seem to be. It is a most solacing idea.

I know what Love does to me ...

bodily and spiritually. We cannot even go into the tremendous effects of skin-deprivation here. Touch in love is so important, it may resurrect a body, dying! The very same for a spirit, dying ... I believe not in theory but in living life. Yet, you are so immensely clever, I simply can but gasp at your knowledge!

  • This is unique and spiritual and beautiful too...Hazel

  • Superb Plus

'tis a fine spiritual write, indeed. It even reflects some of my own beliefs. You have expressed your thoughts quite well. Thanks for sharing.

  • This is very strong and powerful - you would be blessed to be remembered as a warrior for love.

  • A lovely supporting role you give by this precious piece. It's like you are with us also at our lowly times, a caring individual who'd not look out of place as a guardian angel. The world wouldn't have to remember it. You'd be evidential at all times. Tony

your write reminds me of the charismatic preacher boys back home in Texas, warning me that if I wore make up, or blue jeans, or if I asked questions, then I was going straight to hell. They said hell more than they said heaven.
I dont believe God needs us to do that, only because every one of our experiences in hell are different. some of us actually find hell to be a void, cold, endlessly dark and desolate place, in a completely different time and world dimension. There is nothing there, and to me that's much scarier than "hanging over the fiery pit."
But then this is only my opinion, take it for what it's worth.
    Love,
    jin

You may be surprised, but ...

I agree with you TOTALLY -- I wear makeup and sometimes jeans, but my heaven is on earth, with God in and around us. But true also is hell that is here in our midst.

I never make people afraid of God. I detest that. God should be feared yes, but as in respected, glorified, loved. You do not go to "heaven" because you feared, but because you LOVED: God, yourself and your fellowmen.

Thank you for this contest. It gave me the opportunity to be a vessel. I know I will not win a trophy, but this is not about winners; it is about those losing while they should win: the abused, and that INCLUDE the abusers.

Im glad. I knew you to be a genuinely sincere Christian. Scaring me into anything does not work. the abused, yes. The Beatitudes really helped me when I was dealing with it myself, but that was me. Thanks again, and the contest is not over yet. But yes, I get your point. I put alot of thought into this contest, and Im glad to know someone took it seriously. .

I love that. Can I use it as a story prompt?

  • I cannot comment, hope that's ok?

Too close to home in so many ways.

Much love to you and God bless you,

Well then just as God put the weed there that seeks to starve and strangle the wheat, so must Man pluck it from the garden.

The fact is if you know a lie, and do not reveal it. What have you done? I am strict and harsh, and these are my words against allowing the devil his games in open with guile and abuse of good natured people. I dont have to judge the soul, but I must judge the truth and the willingness to atone in the spirit of those around me. There is right and wrong, and there is polite coverup, which is in essence saying, you dont have the strength to overcome them in your heart. But in a church, where all are present, then so must the community combine goodwill to bring about true atonement.

There is of course a myriad of differences, and all are individual and should be handled so, we are far from even one on one capability with most such issues, but until you grasp the divinity of truth and that even harsh may be done in love, then you dont get the concept of caring for another.

    Well written,
    All of my Love
    For you Myra

God does not put the weed in the wheat ...

man does. God may allow it to happen, in order to put the responsibility where it is: for man to handle fraud in the church, with the guidance of God. And this is where you put your focus. Thank you so much for your words of depth and of wisdom. I truly see the seed you sow.

  • I tremble as i begin to respond... What to do with evil? One of the great comforts of scripture is "Vengince is mine; I will repay-" says the Lord. The tares are sown among the wheat, and the workers could not tell them apart. If the wicked sit in church, perhaps they can be touched; at least they are accountable. Denial, and an inablility to face the evil one has done impede change and forgiveness. that is why they are "skeletons in closet. You keep what you are ashamed of in the closet. Those who are strongest among us reach out to help others. To help the wounded. It is easy to be compassionate for the child abused; it is much harder to be compassionate for the wounded, damaged soul grown into the abuser. And they are so much harder to reach. We think about the choices made, that an adult is resposible for their choices; when the evil energy has existed for generations... I experienced great personal regret, when as one who tries to commit to love, I found that there were still some I could justify hating. But who deserves punishment and damnation is detemined at a much higher pay grade than mine; God is Just. And you have taught me, if I am going to miss, I want to miss on the side of love...

Woe on them, my friend ...

who cannot or will not repent and who carry on with their evil deeds. It is no secret that evil is in our church too. The entire creation, says the Word, is longing to know who the children of God are. Not all that say LORD will go into the Kingdom of God. We can but care for all who are victims and yes, that includes the abuser who repents. But abuse has many faces. And my agony is for those who are caught in the net of the fakes. Look around you: see all the woundedness. Can we say: God will judge and do nothing else? He asked us not to judge but to USE his weapons given to us: TRUTH and LOVE. As one poet said: Love is a verb. And this we MUST do -- it is a Command. For Love also means to stand by those who are muted beyond words ...

  • Let there be love
    Let there be peace
    Let God awaken every child,
Prayer, we think every second of everyday.
why not replace our dreadful thoughts with Prayer
in a a world where so many are in need of it.
Your foot print is just lovely my spiritual friend
    God bless you Poetess...
    a million 's for you!

  • It requires a true warrior of peace to deliver such ferocious love. I smile knowingly.

  • love is a verb
any misuse of it is using it otherwise
for monopolies, definitions, control, ethic and/or aesthetic categories
    you love or not
    to do purifies
to not do constitues an excuse

I agree with you totally ...

thank you for reading and commenting, verbing your love so clearly.

  • Potential.

The beginning of this poem definitly intrugued me, and I don't have a problem with your message, but i think you could put it across more subtly. I'd like to see it using literal objects and literal techniques as well as abstract concepts. Using a character or object as an analogy is far more interesting than just "this is how i feel" or "this is how it is".

Reality is the best metaphorical concept I know.

Truth is not subtle. It is clear cut. This contest is very much individualized. What you read on this page is who I am and what I will be remembered for by all who crossed my path. This falls into the REATION category of writing, a word coined by me, meaning merging reason and emotion. I love to indulge in all genres.

Thank you nevertheless for reading and for truly taking time to read. I appreciate your visit sincerely.

      Love
      Myra
