unsexy unmanly unmanned

If he wants her wrapped around his finger
will she be under his thumb forever?
If he feels unsexy unmanly unmanned

naked and needy

is it her fault?

Is he seeking her face for her soul

or for sex?

And if she wants to walk upright
must she walk behind, eyes cast down
when he expects it?

What makes a man, a man?

I wonder how to keep myself whole, but share with a husband that wants oneness on his terms...or it seems so to me. I can't help but feel that I must be wrong.

    So many questions, I wouldn't know how to answer them, or the person who makes you feel this way. I haven't shared much poetry before, but it amazes me how someone like you can just ask questions, makes statements, and when it's presented together as an offering is so rich & full. I need to learn so much more. :-)
