Clumsy little moth
Fluttering sporadically in the dim moonlight
It lights up the glimmering wings
Covered in the powder of a thousand unshed tears
Alone it begins its journey
And alone it will end
Spurned by the fluorescent butterflies
How they mock it from the warm sunlight
Where they may shine,
And be admired by the eyes of the world
While the lonely moth must stay hidden,
Hidden in the night
With no hope to ever become a beautiful butterfly
Its only place remains to be
In the cool night
Where its demons cast shadows
And it can never escape
