Diamonds

I'm waiting here
At the edge of tomorrow
And the brink of today
Watching the rain
Spread diamonds in your hair

 

All I feel is the cold of the night
Moving across the black
But all I can see is your eyes,
Glinting like sapphires
In the empty light of the moon

 

Let's not let the night go by
While standing in empty streets
Take my hand and hold me close
Because never again
Will there be rubies on my wrists
