Too Late?

I'm sorry I hurt you
or am I?
I seem to do it over and over again
normally when someone is sorry, and they truly mean it
they will change their behavior
they will change so that they wouldn't hurt the person again
I lie awake at night, sometimes
thinking about ways i can hurt you
then you roll over and whisper something
and guess what I want to hurt you even more
the sad thing is though, you whisper 'I Love You'
maybe that's how I know that I don't love you anymore
people say that I'm supposed to love you
but then others say get away while I still can
they are talking from experience
maybe they didn't have the same experience we are going through
but they went through something similar
I wonder which person is right
to get away or not to get away
that is the question
i wonder when is too late
would it be after the baby is born?
would it be too late after the baby can recognize who you are?
or is it already too late?
