silent skin

rib cages torn while
ribbons fly through
inky, starry, dusty night

*

I am beneath the moon and bathed in white.
Jasmine flowers breathe softly into my tresses.
But the world is not so kind to dark-skinned lovers,
half-drowned friends, and nighttime caresses.

*

the earth shattered while we slumbered and
garish fire is all that remains; yellow and gray
ashes from roses long lost

already,
the day is too hot for your fiery thoughts

*
mortality beckons while
morality flies through
moon-drenched minutes and

skin, all too browned and bared
before the saltless waves;
a jaded embrace

with a smirking smile, a knowing
sigh, and the demeanor of
demise:

decadence is too sweet,
like the angry, rusty scent
of silent sin

i think if you change the title it should mention skin... because i strongly felt the skin throughout- caresses, brown and bared, etc.

anyways, i loved this it is so beautiful
